Discover the art of traditional bamboo weaving with the Sri Ket Elderly Weaving Community, where age-old techniques are reimagined through contemporary design. This hands-on workshop offers the opportunity to work with a variety of natural materials, including cotton, yarn, rope, and hand-woven fabrics, creatively transformed using techniques such as dyeing, spray painting, embroidery, and weaving.
Led by Mae Hom, a master fabric artist, along with designers Chanya Supavong and Apisara Hophaisarn, participants will embark on a creative journey to design and craft their own personalized New Year’s basket. Begin by sketching your vision and selecting materials, then explore innovative techniques to bring your ideas to life, blending tradition with modern aesthetics.
