Why do we need another chair ?
One question the design societies around the globe ask themselves more than any other is, “Do we really need another chair?”. But, although, functioning and pleasing chair designs already existed in abundance. The popular art of chair designing has yet to subside.
For this THINKK Together exhibition,
we challenged ourselves to find the answer to the question above. We scaled the global perspective and local context, from changing user behavior, to business survival, to the joy of living, collaborative balance between communities and urbanism, and the love and longing for nature of the people today, etc.
We expect pieces from this exhibition will find themselves pushing the design industry forward, and perhaps lending an example to other products as well.
THINKK Together has partnered with various players who brought their own answers and ideas, and 21 chairs, to the table. A comprehension of our initial probe that prompted this exhibition.
Project and Exhibition by THINKK studio.Art direction and graphic design by studio 150.Rendering, Animation, and Partial design by Apisara Hophaisarn.
